The first step of a pipe lining repair process consists in inspecting the drain or pipe system with a camera. This green and leading-edge technology, which does not require an excavation–no trees need to be cut, and the asphalt stays intact–enables us to check the drain and pipe conditions. If the drain or the pipe needs to be cleaned, our team of experts will do so thoroughly. It will then become much easier to measure the liner and follow any other necessary steps.
First of all, manufacturing and installing the fiberglass, epoxy and two-hour-steam-cured liner fitting the 2-to-48-diameter pipe size and length perfectly requires taking the pipe or drain measures. With an accurate and precise calculation, Groupe Drain Innovation will know just how much resin requires the eco-friendly liner fabrication. We will also be able to evaluate the waterproof repair that is chemically resistant to strong acids and powerful solvents.
Following a camera inspection, a good cleaning and an accurate calculation of measures, our Groupe Drain Innovation on-site team of experts will string a line from an upstream access (home cleanout upstream) to a downstream access (municipal downstream). All there will be left for us to do is repair the pipe or drain efficiently, optimally and make it highly resistant.
At this stage, once the line has been strung and installed, an expert will string the Formapox 101 waterproof resin liner inside the drain or pipe system. Another expert Groupe Drain Innovation team member will be posted outside to pull the liner–which will follow the same path as the line–until it reaches the right spot, i.e. the stop mark.
When the Formapox 101 liner is in the pipe or drain, Groupe Drain Innovation team of experts will steam cured it, i.e. steam will be injected, and its pressure will inflate the liner. The heat coming from the steam will make the resin cure harder for a perfect and strong line repair–count 45 minutes. At the end, air will be used to cool down everything.
After 45 minutes of steam curing–it can sometimes take one hour depending on the size and length of the repair–, we will break the seal between the protective polyethylene sheet and the epoxy repair which we will pull out so our team of experts can take the liner out of the line piping repair.
When the line is steam cured and perfectly strong, we will check one last time the pipe lining repair efficiency and waterproofing and inspect the drain or pipes with our top-notch SeeSnake Ridgid camera. Once the final inspection has been done, the on-site team of experts will pull the balloons out of the pipe or drain.
